Well you did it again! We were able to get the entire $1000 matching donation, we have a total of $5500 to donate to Stand Proud, Saidiana and Reve Kandale. We hope that these funds help in their efforts in DRC.
We are always on the look-out for new NGOs in DRC who we can support. While we would prefer that they have some connection to the PC or an RPCV, we are open to considering any group. Please contact us at friendsofcongo@gmail.com with the NGO name, a contact name, and any other helpful information you have.
Stand Proud: A message from Jay A. Nash, Director made us happy to know where our donation monies were going: "I wanted to extend my personal thanks for this generous contribution to StandProud. I know exactly what to do with it: there are two teenage beneficiaries who currently crawl around on all fours. I will use the funds to send them to Goma for operations and rehabilitation. Again, thanks so much."

REVE Kandale: The Réhabilitation de l'Espace Vert et des Ecoles (REVE) - "Rehabilitation of Green Spaces and Schools (DREAM)" - was founded in 2010 as a local self-help organization engaged in improving lives in Kandale, Kwilu Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with a focus on Education, Tree Planting, Girls & Women, Clean Water, Youth and Sport.
