Hesperian Health Guides
As a Peace Corps Volunteer in DRC after 1973, you probably received a copy of Where There Is No Doctor. This book is still available, with updated information and in many languages! It is published by Hesperian Health Guides. The non-profit continues to provide health information for communities with limited access to medical information. Mobile applications are available in 11 languages; health wikis are in 44 languages and free PDFs are in 50 languages. Many Peace Corps Volunteers still use the materials in their work.
